Target Lighitng Power Density

Post by lrossi » Sat Sep 25, 2021 10:14 pm

I'm new to Dialux and I'm trying to set a target lighting power density for each space.
Where is this setting located?

The lack of responses makes me believe that this is no possible.
Can someone at least acknowledge this?

Hello lrossi,

Unfortunately, it is not intended that you can set the target value of the lighting power density in evo.

Best regards,

Csuleiman,
Thanks for the response.

What would be the best way to request or suggest this feature in a future release of the software?

This would be extremely useful for engineers, at least in USA, where we must present a report indicating that the lighitng power density of the designed each space is lower than the maximum requirements in the local energy code.

Dialux already calculates the W/SF of the space, adding a target value in order to compare these two (similar to what it does for illumination levels) should not be too difficult.

In the meantime, i will accept this as a software limitation.
